Practical First Aid – East Limerick

€75The Irish Red Cross Practical First Aid Course provides participants with a thorough grounding in the fundamental knowledge and skills of First Aid. To register, please book a place online, or call into our registration night on Thursday, 22 September at 7pm in our premises, IRC Office Main Street, Doon.
Topics covered include:
– How to approach the scene of an accident
– Choking and C.P.R.
– Wound Care
– Burns
– Poisoning
– Unconsciousness
– Fractures
– Sports Injuries
– Paediatric emergencies
The course takes 12 hours and will run one night a week for 6 weeks.
Upon successful completion of the course, which does not have an examination, but is based on attendance and participation throughout the course, participants receive an Irish Red Cross Certificate in Practical First Aid. The certificate is valid for two years.
The Practical First Aid Certificate is also the minimum requirement for admission to further first aid training courses within the Red Cross.
